Handy-Jon established by Jim and Dan Vanderveld started with 60 portable toilets to service construction sites and events around the Lake of the Ozarks area. Today, this small commercial business has grown into a successful enterprise with portable toilets being set up and serviced from Columbia to Camdenton and all points in-between.
In 2006, the successful Vanderveld brothers decided to diversify and broaden their business services by adding Handy-Jon Trash Service. The Vanderveld brothers purchased a trash disposal truck and were off and running. As this new service began to grow and prosper the addition of more employees and equipment was needed. “This new service has grown and is developing nicely into another successful privately owned and operated commercial business,” explains Jim Vanderveld, Co-owner of Handy-Jon.
The Handy-Jon team was extremely pleased when they were awarded the 5-year contract for the trash disposal for the City of Lake Ozark, in December of 2006. This new service began March of 2007 with both commercial business and residential trash hauling and disposal.
Recently, Handy-Jon has begun to expand with the addition of more trash disposal trucks, more employees and a growing family of new and established customers.
The portable toilet side of the business has continued to be the backbone along with septic pumping as well.
